A home is more than a property
I am 59 years old, and my professional path has been shaped by real-estate consulting and financial services. Over the years, I have come to see a home as much more than a property: it is where stories are made, where we find calm, and where every detail can reflect who we are.
I am trained in real-estate consulting, but another part of me has always been just as important: my love of nature, flowers, gardens, and the uncomplicated pleasures of everyday life.
Why I created Hearth & Garden Guide
This passion is what led me to create Hearth & Garden Guide. The idea is simple: you do not need to spend a great deal to make a home more beautiful, comfortable, and enjoyable.
Beauty is not limited to expensive things. A well-chosen plant, a few flowers, a fresh coat of paint, a repurposed piece of furniture, or a small change in the garden can completely change the feeling of a space.
Practical ideas for real homes
Here, I share practical, affordable ideas that fit into everyday life—especially for people who enjoy caring for their homes and gardens but prefer thoughtful choices over unnecessary expense.
My inspiration comes from nature and simplicity. I enjoy noticing how a flower can brighten a corner, how plants can bring a garden to life, and how small, regular care can make a meaningful difference.
At Hearth & Garden Guide, you will find approachable ideas for creating a more inviting, lived-in home, along with guidance for growing and caring for flower-filled gardens without requiring a large budget.
I am not here to offer complicated formulas. I want to share what works in a simple, economical, and realistic way. A beautiful home does not have to be an expensive one—it needs care, creativity, and a little affection.
Welcome. I am Juarez Santos, and this is my way of bringing together my experience, my love of nature, and the pleasure I find in helping simple spaces become special places.
